FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is DenSureFit a denture adhesive?

DenSureFit is NOT an adhesive, it is BETTER. DenSureFit is not tacky and messy like adhesives. While adhesives need to be applied and removed daily, the DenSureFit liner will stay attached to your denture for up-to 3 months. You can think of DenSureFit like you think of a soft reline from your dentist; however, with DenSureFit, you can reline your denture in the comfort of your home for a fraction of the price of a dentist reline. You should still remove your denture nightly to clean it and to give your mouth a chance to breathe, as most dentists recommend. Your liner stays adhered to your denture until you peel it out.

Will I still need to use adhesive?

DenSureFit eliminates the need for denture adhesive for many users, but some will still need the extra security of an adhesive on top of their DenSureFit liner. Individual denture and mouth situations determine this. Powder adhesive adheres best to the silicone liner. Users report that powder adhesives tend to be much easier to remove from their mouth than cream adhesives. Even when DenSureFit users still need to use powder adhesive, they still report being very happy with their DenSureFit because they are able to greatly reduce adhesive-use and are able to switch from cream adhesive to powder adhesive.

Is DenSureFit easy to apply?

DenSureFit takes a few minutes and 3 easy steps to apply. The innovative and patented self-mixing silicone applicator tip means NO messy, lumpy mixing for you. The DenSureFit materials are dentist-created and dentist-used. DenSureFit does require careful following of the instructions, patience and sometimes even trial-and-error. As you become familiar with using DenSureFit, you will learn how to make it best work for your unique denture situation. Our goal is for you to get the best fit possible for your situation. If you are have issues getting a good fit or with anything else, please give us a call or send an email and we will happily help you out!

How soon can I use DenSureFit after new extractions?

If you have recently had your teeth extracted, it is VERY important that you consult your dentist before using DenSureFit.If you have already received a soft reline from your dentist, then it is okay for you to use DenSureFit.If you have not received a soft reline from your dentist, it is important to ask your dentist when you are a candidate for a soft reline. When your dentist tells you that you are ready to receive a soft reline, then it is okay for you to use DenSureFit.

NOTE: Being cleared for adhesive-use does NOT clear you for DenSureFit use.

TESTIMONIALS

Who is DenSureFit For?

  • New Denture Wearers & Those in IMMEDIATES

DenSureFit keeps the denture snug as the gums shrink drastically during the first 18 months post-extraction.IMPORTANT! If your extractions are recent, you MUST consult your dentist before using DenSureFit. Your dentist must “clear you” for a soft reline before you use DenSureFit. If your dentist has already applied a soft reline to your denture, then DenSureFit is okay for you to use.

  • Those with Denture Soreness

DenSureFit’s soft cushioning silicone helps to protect against “hot spots” for relief from soreness. It redistributes the pressure for relief from high spots and rubbing of your dentures at the gum line.

  • Those with Loose or Ill-Fitting Dentures

DenSureFit’s flexible silicone fills the voids that are causing the denture to be loose. DenSureFit relieves soreness caused by the denture rubbing as a result of those voids.

  • Denture Wearers in Their Permanent Dentures

Even after a denture wearer is fitted for permanent dentures, the gums continue to change, although the pace will slow down. These changes in the gums will cause the denture to fit differently. DenSureFit makes a new impression on the inside of the denture for the best fit possible.

  • Those Who Simply Desire More Comfort

If the denture fits well, but you simply want a cushion between the hard acrylic denture base and your gums, DenSureFit’s lightweight soft silicone provides a soft thin cushioning without adding extra bulk to the interior of the denture.

  • Those Who Want to Reduce or Eliminate Denture Adhesive-Use

DenSureFit is NOT adhesive. DenSureFit is a soft silicone liner that only needs to be replaced every few months. There is no daily application. Many people are able to go adhesive-free with DenSureFit. Others are able to greatly reduce the amount of adhesive they use and are able to switch to powder adhesive, which users report being a great improvement over the pastes when used on top of their DenSureFit liner.

  • Those Who Have a New Hard Reline

If the hard reline is not producing the fit you desire, many find that applying DenSureFit fine-tunes the fit. The lightweight DenSureFit silicone makes a much more detailed impression of the mouth than the hard acrylic material, so when applied over a new hard reline, the fit is naturally improved.
